Below is our preliminary itinerary for those interested in taking this exciting new tour in April-May 2005.

EMBROIDERY TECHNIQUES AND CLASSES TOUR Friday, April 15 - Sunday, May 1, 2005

April 15 Depart USA for Beijing, China

April 16 Arrive in Beijing after crossing international dateline. Transfer to hotel. Great Wall Sheraton Hotel, (5-star). Meals on the plane. D.

April 17 Full day of touring, itinerary will be chosen by participants. There are many options to choose from. Entrance fees to be paid by participants if applicable. Beijing Duck Dinner. B/L/D.

April 18 All day class of two-sided embroidery technique. B/L/D.

April 19 All day class of two-sided embroidery technique. Mongolian Hot Pot Dinner and visit to Food Street. B/L/D.

April 20 All day class of two-sided embroidery technique. B/L/D.

April 21 Morning flight to Guiyang, Guizhou. Afternoon bus to Kaili. Golden Dragon Hotel. 3 star. B/L/D.

April 22 Morning classes for crepe stitch (pleated, braided cord), braided cord embroidery, two needle technique. Afternoon visit to Qing Xin Miao village for weaving demonstration and visit to Tong gu village for farmer's paintings. Visit to Yang's workshop and dinner prepared by her husband. B/L/D.

April 23 Morning classes for silk felting embroidery, folded silk embroidery, horse tail technique. Afternoon visit to Langde village and Datong village, entertainment at both villages. B/L/D.

April 24 Morning visit to Kaili Sunday Market and visit to local embroidery shops. Afternoon visit to Sister's Meal Festival in Yang Jia village in Shidong area. B/L/D.

April 25 Morning classes for tin weaving embroidery, short needle stitch, cord stitch, flat stitch. Afternoon visit to WengXiang Miao village for entertainment and visit to home of local embroidery sellers. B/L/D.

April 26 Morning classes for Dazi stitch, split thread stitch (paper cut), chain stitch. Afternoon visit to Matong village for entertainment and batik demonstration. B/L/D.

April 27 Bus to Guiyang, flight to Shanghai, bus to Suzhou, evening buffet dinner at hotel. Suzhou Sheraton Hotel, 5 star. B/L/D.

April 28 Silk Embroidery Research Institute and Museum, lunch at special tea house in garden, cruise on Grand Canal, local shopping for two-sided embroideries, evening performance at Garden of the Nets.. B/L/D.

April 29 Silk Reeling Mill, train or bus to Shanghai, drive by Bund and Friendship Store if time allows. Jin Mao Tower. Equatorial Hotel, 4-star.. B/L/D.

April 30 Bound Foot Shoe Museum, Shanghai Museum. Buffet dinner at hotel. B/L/D.
